Garden map – Summer rain took care of watering for us today

Here is a map of the 2011 Summer community garden.

We just planted a Plum tree on the NW side of the lot, please keep an eye on the tree, if it looks like it needs water if you would give it a 1/2 bucket that would be great. It will be several years before there will be any plums, but if you don’t plant it, there will never be any.

Still raining, new picnic table

“Mowed the grass. Heavy rains of the past week washed out the south ends of the two eastern plots. Fortunately nothing was planted there yet (again because of the rains). Transplanted plants are all healthy and growing well.

Thank you to Julie for the use of the table.

Thanks to Julie Siefker for the use of the Picnic Table

A little bit of heat the next couple of days will be great! All garden plots that have been planted look good. There is now a picnic table for your comfort (donated by Julia Siefker for our use this season). She also donated a couple of bluebird bird houses. Any suggestion as to where we should locate these? Added some tomato cages to the Alt family garden and some other short fencing to identify the garden boundaries.”
